The main sections of the Kazakhstan railway system operate on equipment accomplished by S-Engineering using German technology. Now, for Ukraine one of the important tasks is to increase the efficiency of railway transportation based on modern technologies.

Innovations were proposed by S-Engineering during the implementation of Kazakh railways.

Within the framework of cooperation with JSC National Company “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy”, the SIEMENS AG (Siemens Mobility) concern and the S-Engineering company, our specialists carried out a range of works:

-    Production, supply and connection of 27.5 kV traction power supply cells manufactured by S-Engineering using Siemens SITRAS ® ASG25 technology.

-    Introduction of monitoring and control systems for traction substations and their integration into the general system of dispatching of the railways of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In the process of reconstruction, the power supply scheme was changed, new equipment for the distribution of power supply, new telemetry, telecommand systems, and remote signalling devices were installed.

The equipment manufactured in Ukraine fully complies with international standards IES 62271-200, which guarantees high reliability during exploitation and ensure a service life for at least 25 years.

Realized by the S-Engineering project on modernization of Kazakh railways allows to:

-    Reduce operation costs;

-    Ensure the speed performance of the system;

-    Carry out remote monitoring and control of equipment in real-time;

-    Guarantee high reliability of power supply to traction networks.

As it is known, now the management of the Ukrzaliznytsia JSC is handled by the Deutsch Bach German company, in the control by the Ukrainian state. It is to modernize several railways lines in the South of Ukraine in the direction of Ukrainian ports on the Black Sea. The project will be co-financed by the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the European Investment Bank (EIB).
