Electrical Supply and Automation of the Most Powerful Biomass Power Plant of Ukraine
“S-Engineering” Company is one of the main contractors in automation and electrical supply of the most powerful biomass power plant of Ukraine (AJAX DNIPRO LLC, Dnepr City). 16 MW power plant will produce thermal and electric energy for onward sale as per green tariff to “Oblenergo” external networks, and also will provide with steam the whole infrastructure and oil extraction plant (Potoky Oil Extraction Plant). Main fuel of the power plant is waste products of Potoky Oil Extraction Plant, namely, sunflower peelings. Per day the power plant will be able to transform 320-350 ton of peelings into electric power. Wood chips will be used as a standby fuel. It is remarkable that the power plant’s “heart” is a condensing steam turbine, supplied by SIEMENS Company – our official partner since 2007.
It is planned to start and put into operation AJAX DNIPRO power plant in February, 2020. As of today, experts of “S-Engineering” conduct pre-commissioning activities of the equipment supplied and complete software development for auxiliary equipment automated control system. It is worth reminding that in spring, 2019 we won a tender of AJAX DNIPRO power plant regarding the development of design documentation to automatic process control system, delivery and installation of switchboard equipment and development of software for auxiliary equipment automated control system. The whole electric power supply system of the power plant on the 380V side, is operated from switchboards and МСС, manufactured by “S-Engineering” Company. Main switchboard (MSB) is based on Siemens SIVACON S8 technologies and designed for operation at currents up to 5000A, inclusively. In terms of construction, thee MSB consists of four sections, among which there is automatic switching.
