The founder of S-Engineering, Batyr Annaev, tells how the company’s war year passed: challenges, achievements, new projects.

“The past year has become an indicator of who we are: as people, as a company, as citizens of the country. We are witnessing the birth of the newest Ukraine. And the process of birth is always associated with pain and suffering. I believe that Ukraine and its inhabitants are maturing dramatically and irrevocably.

S-Engineering managed to survive the strongest storm and maintain its stability and stability, and by the end of the year to reach the pre-war level.

On February 24, 2022, an enemy missile exploded near the S-Engineering plant in Odessa, causing damage to the enterprise. I pay tribute to the civic position of the company’s employees, who in the first days of the war went out to repair the damage, despite the threat of repeated shelling. Engineering work on projects in Ukraine and our export projects have not been stopped for a day since the outbreak of hostilities. We resumed production activities a week and a half after the start of the war.

Before the outbreak of hostilities, the development of S-Engineering far outpaced the growth rate of the market, more than 60% of the company’s projects were export-oriented. It was the presence of a wide geography of export projects that allowed us to quickly regroup when customer enterprises in Ukraine stopped all their production processes in the first days of the war.

Despite the wartime, during the year we had new projects and customers both in Ukraine and abroad — they still see S-Engineering as a reliable partner. All this is the merit of our entire large team.

Now S-Engineering specialists carry out projects in regions where there are no active hostilities. We also continue to implement export projects in a number of countries: we carry out complex work at large-scale foreign facilities, and our employees develop software for several factories in Europe.
