Increase of transshipment capacity if the terminal in the Mykolaiv city due to S-Engineering technologies

Thanks to S-Engineering technologies, the DSSK (Cofco International) marine terminal in Mykolaiv handles one and a half times more grain per year compared to the designed capacity.

For the second year in a row, the terminal of the Danube Shipping and Stevedoring Company has been working steadily and successfully with a transshipment rate for 4 million tons per year, with a design capacity of 2.5 million tons per year. Moreover, the Mykolaiv seaport, on the berths of which the DSSK terminal is located, took the second place in the national rating of Ukraine’s ports in terms of freight turnover to the results of 2019.

At DSSK, an innovative SENUMAC loading optimization was introduced. Consideration and implantation of this technology at the design stage helps to reduce the capital costs of the investment project. Thus, this allows the customer to choose equipment taking into account its maximum productivity, but not a more capital-intensive option with a power reserve, as in the case with classical solutions.

A few years ago the S-Engineering company carried out a significant part of the work on the implementation of the DSSK terminal. Our experts designed and implemented power supply, automation, lightning protection, grounding lighting. The Danube Shipping and Stevedoring Company LLC is included in the structure of the Chinese grain corporation COFCO international. The transshipment complex is one of the largest projects that was invested in the Ukrainian economy by this Chinese company.
