S-Engineering Launches Scholarship Program for Engineering Students

S-Engineering Launches Scholarship Program for Engineering Students

Starting in September 2026, six outstanding engineering students will receive a monthly scholarship of UAH 5,000 and an opportunity to become part of the S-Engineering team.

Investing in Ukraine’s Future Engineers

The shortage of qualified engineers is no longer an abstract challenge of the future — it is a reality facing Ukrainian industry today. As the country continues to defend itself and prepare for post-war recovery, the demand for highly skilled technical specialists is growing rapidly.

For nearly two decades, S-Engineering has been contributing to the development of Ukraine’s industrial sector through projects in automation, power engineering, and industrial equipment. The company has long partnered with leading technical universities, including Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics (NURE), Odesa National University of Technology, and Odesa Polytechnic National University.

In 2026, this cooperation entered a new stage. Following the signing of a memorandum of partnership with NURE and the successful Smart Industry Hackathon: Automation & Power Solutions, S-Engineering announced the launch of its own named scholarship program aimed at supporting talented students and strengthening engineering education in Ukraine.

Who Can Apply?

The scholarship is available to third- and fourth-year Bachelor’s and Master’s students enrolled in the following fields:

  • 141 – Electric Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electromechanics
  • 151 – Automation and Computer-Integrated Technologies

Each year, six scholarship recipients will be selected.

The scholarship will be awarded for one academic semester, from September 1 to January 31, with recipients receiving UAH 5,000 per month after taxes.

Selection Process

The competition is held annually.

Information about the application process is published on the company’s website at least 14 calendar days before applications open. Applications are accepted from March 1 to March 22.

The selection process consists of four stages:

1. Application Submission

Applicants submit:

  • Application form
  • Motivation letter
  • Recommendations from professors or academic supervisors

2. Preliminary Screening

Verification of eligibility and compliance with program requirements.

3. Practical Engineering Challenge

Candidates complete a real-world engineering task prepared by S-Engineering specialists. Depending on the year, this stage may be conducted in a hackathon format.

4. Interview

Final interviews are held either online or in person.

The final decision is made by a scholarship committee consisting of representatives from S-Engineering management, HR specialists, technical departments, and partner universities.

The list of winners is approved no later than May 20 each year.

Evaluation Criteria

Applicants are assessed based on:

  • Quality of the practical assignment
  • Motivation and professional goals
  • Interview performance
  • Relevance of their interests and competencies to S-Engineering’s areas of activity

Academic integrity is a mandatory requirement throughout the selection process.

Important Conditions

Students on academic leave, part-time or distance-learning programs (except in cases specifically allowed by the program), as well as individuals who support the Russian Federation, its armed aggression against Ukraine, or deny Ukraine’s territorial integrity, are not eligible to participate.

If a scholarship recipient is called to military service, scholarship payments will be suspended for the duration of their service.

More Than Financial Support

The S-Engineering Scholarship Program is about far more than financial assistance.

It provides students with opportunities to:

  • Gain exposure to real industrial projects while still studying
  • Learn from engineering solutions currently operating at critical infrastructure facilities
  • Build professional networks and receive career guidance
  • Acquire practical experience valued by leading industrial employers

Scholarship recipients will also be considered part of S-Engineering’s future talent pipeline and may receive career opportunities within the company.

How to Apply

Detailed information about the competition, application forms, and submission requirements is published annually on the company’s website in March.

The application package includes:

  • Participation application form
  • Motivation letter
  • Contact information for two referees
  • Consent to personal data processing
