Mykola Kasap
Mykola began his career at S-Engineering in 2021 as a junior electrician. He was invited to work after a three-month internship, which the then technical college student combined with his studies.
In 5 years, the junior electrician has “grown” up the career ladder to an engineer of the production and technical department and plans to stay with the company further. He says he values the atmosphere and the mentors who are always ready to help, give advice, and even teach a young specialist from scratch.
During these 4.5 years, he managed to work not only at the factory but also at a customer’s site in Lviv, and he certainly sees his future with S-Engineering.
“I want to say to students of engineering specialties who are now choosing their career path: don’t be afraid to start at such large and serious enterprises. You will be taught everything and helped with adaptation.”

“The most interesting thing is to see how your work becomes part of large projects,” says Daniil Bykov, a junior CNC machine operator at the metal structures production department (a former intern at S-Engineering). “The structures we are making today will tomorrow be used at important facilities across Ukraine and abroad.”

Kostiantyn Andriiash
Success story: from intern to specialist in just six months!
In 2024, Kostiantyn Andriiash, along with a group of students from the Professional College of Industrial Automation and Information Technologies of ONTU, joined S-Engineering for a three-month internship.
“It was easy to fit in!” he recalls. His first task was to work with a bending and starting machine on metal — he received blueprints and produced parts.
After three months, Kostiantyn was invited to join the company full-time as a junior machine operator!
Another six months later, the former intern:
- Learned to read technical drawings perfectly
- Moved on to more complex parts
- Mastered new tools
“Don’t be afraid of the initial difficulties!” advises Kostiantyn to future engineers. “The first week may seem chaotic, but after 10–14 days everything falls into place. Colleagues and mentors are always there — they’ll show, explain, and teach. The main thing is not to give up!”

Behind the scenes of production: a conversation with the senior foreman of the electrical manufacturing department at S-Engineering, Kostiantyn Berezovskyi
Every successful project is the result of well-coordinated teamwork. We met with Kostiantyn Berezovskyi, senior foreman of the electrical manufacturing department, to learn what his daily work looks like, which S-Engineering innovations assist in the production process, and why constant quality control is the key to success.
Tell us about your role in the team. You work under the supervision of Oleksii Stelmakh. What are your main responsibilities, and how do you interact with other colleagues on the production floor?
My main role is to ensure that production orders are completed efficiently and on time. I assign tasks, explain the details to colleagues, support and train them. My job is to guide the team so that we work as effectively as possible.
What does your typical workday look like? Describe a regular day at the electrical production facility. Which tasks do you enjoy most, and which do you find the most challenging?
My day always begins with a production meeting where we summarize the previous day’s results, distribute new tasks, and discuss ongoing issues. Then I handle all production-related matters for the orders. I enjoy it most when new equipment orders arrive — that’s always a challenge and a chance to learn something new. The most difficult part, perhaps, is maintaining constant quality control. It’s a continuous process of reviewing and improving, requiring full attention.
Which technologies do you use in your work? S-Engineering is known for innovation. Tell us about your experience with modern tools and systems. What impressed you the most?
Our entire production operates within a unified digital system that stores all projects — current and completed. This system allows us to interact with other departments. For mechanical assembly, we use 3D models. We’ve taken another step toward digitalization by equipping our electricians with tablets and testing new software to fully eliminate paper documentation, which significantly simplifies our work.
How would you describe your supervisor’s management style? What do you consider the key trait of Oleksii Stelmakh as an effective leader? How does he help you in your work?
I highly value his professionalism, composure, calmness, and reasoned approach. Oleksii is always ready to support, explain, and help solve even the most complex issues — that’s a great asset in my work.
What achievements at S-Engineering are you most proud of? Tell us about a project or task that stands out most in your memory. Why was it so important to you?
All our projects are unique and require a special approach. But the one that stands out most for me is a project for an oil refinery. It was one of the first large projects I worked on while I was still learning. I also fondly remember the large sports complex “Olimp” in Yuzhne, where we handled all the automation. Both projects were very important to me because they gave me invaluable experience.

From electrician to production manager: a conversation with Oleksii Stelmakh
An effective team is the foundation of successful production. We spoke with Oleksii Stelmakh, Head of Electrical Manufacturing at S-Engineering, to learn how to grow from a beginner to a leader, what challenges modern engineers face, and how teamwork helps create unique projects.
Tell us about your career path in the company. You lead the electrical production department. How did you join S-Engineering, and how did your professional journey develop to this position?
— I started at S-Engineering as an electrician with minimal experience. Since the company was still young, I performed a wide range of tasks. We actively studied and implemented new Siemens technologies, participated in trainings, including in Leipzig (Germany). Over time, I began taking on the role of project manager, and later became the head of Sivacon 8PT and S8 technology. That required strict quality control, and once we streamlined the processes and gained enough experience, I took over production management.
What are the biggest challenges your department faces? Considering the specifics of the work, what difficulties do you overcome daily to ensure smooth operations and high product quality?
— Throughout the company’s history, our main challenge has always been quality. And that applies not only to the products but also to staff training, short- and long-term planning, meeting deadlines, and ultimately ensuring customer satisfaction. Communication with other departments — design, logistics, project management, and quality assurance — is a key daily task for overcoming these challenges.
Which S-Engineering project do you consider the highlight of your career? Tell us about a project you are particularly proud of. What made it special?
— In general, every S-Engineering project is unique because we take an individual approach to each client. We implement the latest technologies in close collaboration with and under the supervision of the customer. One of the most remarkable projects for me was for an oil and gas enterprise in the Lviv region. That project was memorable for a special presentation: we delivered a set of demonstration Sivacon 8PT cabinets to the client’s site. The functionality, technical specifications, and quality fully met their expectations. Thanks to that, we continue to work with this client to this day.
How do you assess the qualification level of Ukrainian engineers? You work with young specialists and interns. In your opinion, does their training meet modern market demands?
— The qualification level of our engineers is very high. As for young specialists and interns, of course, they still have much to learn compared to experienced engineers, but the key is understanding that to become professionals, they must go through all technical stages of project creation, operation sequences, and risk assessment.
That’s why we cooperate with universities and invite students starting from their second year for internships. They work with real equipment, drawings, and circuit diagrams under supervision. Unlike laboratory practice, our trainees participate in actual projects under strict quality control. Our message to the youth is simple: if you have motivation, persistence, and a desire to learn — we will teach you.
