SENUMAC as a Response to Today’s Energy Challenges
Being the head of the company operating large-scale grain infrastructure, I face the challenges of unstable power supply on a daily basis. Power outages, on-site electricity generation, and consumption limits have become a new reality for port terminals.
Under such conditions, any equipment downtime means a loss of time, money, and partners’ trust. That is why automation technologies today must ensure not only productivity, but also full controllability of processes.
A unique solution for automation
For us, SENUMAC has become that systemic solution rather than just a standalone software product. It is a comprehensive automated grain transshipment management system that makes it possible to monitor productivity, energy consumption, and the quality composition of shipping batches in real time.
During periods of energy instability this is critically important. A clear example is the case of the Risoil grain terminal, with which we have been cooperating for more than 10 years.
In conditions of complex logistics and simultaneous loading of several vessels, the SENUMAC system was adapted to branched routes and limited space. Thanks to automated productivity management, vessel loading time was reduced by 19%.
At the same time, electricity savings of 17.5% were achieved, which is especially important under consumption limits.
It is also worth highlighting the stable maintenance of the specified product ratios in shipping batches, which directly affects the quality of contract execution.
Equally convincing is the case of Novotekh-Terminal LLC, confirmed by the company’s official reference.
Since 2015, in cooperation with S-Engineering, the SENUMAC system has been implemented at the terminal to manage grain loading productivity onto vessels.
The results of this implementation have become evident in daily operations:
- Through automation vessel loading productivity increased by an average of 20%.
- This made it possible to reduce vessel loading time by 16.7%.
- At the same time, electricity savings of 19% were achieved, which had a positive impact on the terminal’s power grids.
- With an increase in instantaneous productivity, active power consumption rose only slightly, while reactive power generation decreased.
Automation of shipment batch formation
Special value plays function of automated formation of shipping batches. SENUMAC makes it possible to maintain the specified quality composition of the product through proportional regulation of flows from different feed points. This minimizes manual operations and reduces the risk of errors.
In real conditions of unstable power supply, this means fewer emergency shutdowns and smoother equipment operating modes.
Fewer shutdowns also result in lower peak loads on the power system. This is how continuity of logistics processes is ensured.
From a practical standpoint, SENUMAC has become a risk management tool. It allows enterprises to reduce dependence on the human factor and external constraints. It is a solution that provides predictability and stability.
In a period of global resource price growth and energy instability, such technologies are no longer a competitive advantage.
They are becoming a necessary condition for efficient operation.
Today SENUMAC helps businesses operate with confidence and look to the future with understanding and control.
