“The Ukrainian intellectual potential that needs to be supported, developed, and consolidated”, — Batyr Annaiev, the founder of S-Engineering, spoke about his vision of restoring Ukraine

Batyr Annaiev, the founder of S-Engineering, spoke about his vision of restoring Ukraine, about the motivation of engineering employees in an article on his LinkedIn page:

“Employee involvement in the project and the final product play an increasingly important role in employee motivation. At the present time, specialists want to see a personal contribution to their projects, the implementation of their own ideas, and the dependence of material bonuses on their initiatives, as well as on the depth and development of the proposed ideas.

We put our strength and resources for the engineering personnel, so they do not just stay in Ukraine, but are also motivated to come back after they have worked in Europe. We are developing systematic motivational programs to create favourable conditions for engineering specialists who are currently working abroad, for example, in Poland and the Czech Republic.

Our research and in-depth interviews on this topic have shown that the financial stability is only one out of many other important reasons that attracts employees to come back to work in Ukraine. Therefore, we are prepared to attract competent and experienced professionals with our bonus programs and various opportunities to prove themselves in large projects. Additionally, in some cases, they will be given a chance to lead a group of developers for a specific R&D project.

In October 2021, we already had several cases, when the qualified personnel from Europe, the “Ukrainians on the job”, were ready to return to Ukraine and start working at S-Engineering; however, they decided not to. The main concerns were associated with the backdrop of the “information noise” created around the possibility of the war outbreak in the country. As a result, some specialists, unfortunately, decided not to take a risk to return to the country…

We believe that successful restoration of Ukraine largely depends on the initiatives, intelligence, and diligence of Ukrainian people, as well as on the investments of foreign partners. Nevertheless, it is the Ukrainian intellectual potential that needs to be supported, developed, and consolidated. More so, it is important to create safe and favourable environment for the relocation of engineers who live and work in Europe.

It is going to be a long journey to rebuild the country… Our faith, unity, pro-activity, and experienced specialists will help us to accomplish this goal. Hence, we are doing everything it takes for the skill improvement of the existing specialists within S-Engineering. Furthermore, we put an emphasis on nurturing the students at specialized technical universities with the Science-Business-Education ecosystem created by S-Engineering, and on relocation of engineers from abroad”.
