Grain Terminal Posco International (Mykolaiv)

What was done

The SENUMAC technology, developed and patented by S-Engineering, was implemented for the grain terminal of the Korean corporation Posco International and the Ukrainian group Orexim in Mykolaiv.

Also, for this project S-Engineering specialists performed:

• development of design documentation and software;
• manufacturing of electrical equipment, including equipment produced using S-Engineering technology – SelaM;
• commissioning works and partial electrical installation works for integrated automation and power supply systems.

Results

• SENUMAC is a technology for automatic control of the loading of a continuous transport line of bulk materials, which makes it possible to increase terminal productivity by more than 10%. The accuracy of the dosing mode exceeds 90%. As a result, the vessel’s time at the berth is reduced.
• The SENUMAC technology helps reduce specific electricity consumption by more than 10%, automate the blending of grain classes, and minimize the human factor. Including thanks to the SENUMAC technology proposed at the terminal design stage, Orexim successfully presented the project to partners and fulfilled the task of creating an energy-efficient terminal with high productivity.
