Oil Extraction Plant “Protein Invest”. Complex of automation and power supply works

What was done

Implementation of a set of works for the power supply and automation of the storage and processing complex for oilseeds of LLC “Protein Invest”:

• Supply of equipment, installation and commissioning works, and software development for the automation and power supply system of the soybean elevator at the OEP in the village of Dunaivtsi.
• Design of ACS, power electrical equipment, lighting, grounding and lightning protection for the oil extraction plant.
• Improvement of the existing ACS TP of the “Protein Invest” plant. From scratch, a centralized dispatch control solution for all plant automation systems with a redundant data storage and processing center was developed and implemented. Thus, the standard SCADA system was transformed into an S-Engineering product – SCADA plus. This is a single platform that coordinates, analyzes and optimizes the production process and ensures integration with local control systems of all plant areas. When receiving data, the system independently compares them with preset values and, in case of deviations, notifies the engineering staff, allowing necessary actions to be taken.
• All software and ACS TP cabinets, as well as the plant’s power supply systems, were implemented based on SIEMENS technologies and equipment. 35 MCC motor control cabinets were manufactured by S-Engineering using SIEMENS Sivacon S8 technology.

In the new construction project of OEP “Protein Invest”, S-Engineering also acted as a process engineer. The gas boiler house of OEP “Protein Invest” is a complex high-tech facility with a capacity of 19 MW. The boiler house supplies steam to all technological sections of the plant. The customer received two boilers with steam capacities of 10 t/h and 16 t/h from the supplier, without control systems or process engineering support. S-Engineering specialists carried out the following for the boiler section:

• selection and design of instrumentation and control devices;
• development of a comprehensive boiler house control system;
• application of an independent ACS for both boilers;
• development and commissioning of a unified ACS TP of the boiler house, which controls all systems – from general boiler systems to “gas-air” ratio regulators;
• commissioning and startup of the technological equipment.
