Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill. Comprehensive modernization

What was done

S-Engineering has built long-term partnership relations with the Kyiv CPM. For over five years, our specialists performed comprehensive modernization of the plant. The following major projects were implemented:

• manufacturing and supply of equipment for the control of the non-regulated electric drive of the shoe press;
• design works for the control of equipment for the sorting group of the PPM-2 pulp preparation process;
• a set of works for reconstruction of the TSR-1500 transport line of the paper production;
• installation works for the electric motor control system for the A-Celli BD-2 winder and the pulp disintegrator of the pulp preparation process;
• design works on automation, power supply and drive control systems for modernization of the coating machine of the cardboard line;
• a set of works for modernization of the grinding machine;
• a set of works for modernization of the ACS TP of the PPM pulp-making workshop;
• supply of MCC for modernization of PPM-1;
• supply of switchgear 0.4 kV;
• full scope of works for modernization of the control system of the DC drive for the longitudinal-cutting machine of the paper workshop;
• modernization of software and commissioning works for the electric drive control system of the A. CELLI longitudinal-cutting machine of the paper workshop;
• audit of the automation and electric drive system of the A.Celli longitudinal-cutting machine of the paper production;
• modernization of the control system of the regulated DC drive of paper machine No.2 of the paper workshop;
• a set of works for modernization of the control system of PPM-2 of the pulp preparation workshop: author supervision, software development, installation and commissioning;
• a set of works for improvement of the control software and commissioning of the hydraulic press control system for paper and cardboard;
• software audit of the hydraulic press control system;
• a set of works for modernization of the control system of the DC drives of paper machine No.1 of the paper workshop: development of technical documentation and software;
• development of conceptual solutions for modernization of the tissue machine drive: structural diagram of the ACS and electric drive, typical control schemes;
• a set of works for modernization of the 0.4 kV switchgear system of the pulp preparation PPM-2 workshop;
• a set of works for development and manufacturing of spare withdrawable switchgear units for the switchgear system of the pulp preparation PPM-2 workshop.

Results

Such a significant upgrade of the production systems provided the customer with not only substantial energy savings but also the possibility of efficient and failure-free operation of the plant.
