Lanaz oil refinery enterprise (Iraq)
What was done
Due to the expansion of the Lanaz oil refinery enterprise (Iraq), S-Engineering specialists carried out the design and supply of the main 6.6 kV electrical switchgear. More than 20 panels were manufactured using OBERON technology. To speed up the installation and commissioning process, the panels were assembled and adjusted at our plant and were supplied as a ready-to-install switchgear. At the moment, the equipment is successfully in operation and distributes electricity to the entire plant. The equipment integrates systems for collection and analysis of electrical network parameters, indication and data acquisition on equipment condition, and monitoring of electricity consumption.
S-Engineering specialists implemented a comprehensive power supply project for the Lanaz oil refinery. The equipment manufactured and delivered to the customer supplies power to eight plant units.
The comprehensive supply included:
block-modular buildings housing SIVACON 6300 A switchgear
dry-type cast-resin transformers rated at 4000 kVA in protective enclosures with forced air cooling
design of foundations and supporting structures for the modular buildings and power transformers
A special feature of this project was that the ambient temperature in the plant area reaches +60 °C in summer and the humidity up to 100%. Therefore, air conditioners for the ventilation system of the block-modular buildings were purchased in Dubai.
Installation of the equipment and commissioning of the engineering systems of the block-modular buildings were carried out at the S-Engineering production facilities before shipment to the customer.
We have been cooperating with the Lanaz plant since 2022. Earlier, S-Engineering specialists manufactured and supplied packaged transformer substations (KTP) using block-modular buildings and SIVACON S8 6300 A switchgear.
