LLC “Cement” (Odesa Cement Plant)

Description

LLC “Cement”, formerly Odesa Cement Plant, is the largest cement producer in the southern region of Ukraine. Since 2011, it has been part of the CRH industrial group headquartered in Dublin. The production capacity for cement output is 550,000 tons per year.

What was done

A project was implemented for the power supply and comprehensive automation of the technological processes of coal grinding and its dosing into the main kiln burners of the plant:

• A set of works for creating the power supply system and APCS for the cement bag palletizing line.
• Comprehensive audit of process control systems.
• Supply and installation of instrumentation and aspiration equipment, commissioning works.
• Design, equipment supply, installation and commissioning of the “Gas analysis of the coal silo storage area” project.
• Electrification and comprehensive automation of coal grinding processes and dosing of coal dust.

The implementation of these projects enabled the plant to completely abandon the use of natural gas and increase the efficiency of clinker firing.
